Friday Fun.

I wish I could tell you guys about work. The plot is thickening and thickening and thickening.  I feel like I am swallowing some thick sludgy cement mix- and it's hardening in the back of my throat.

This morning I tried to go to Subway on my way into the office to get one of my favorite healthy breakfast sandwich things...only the subway that I normally go to went missing.  Excuse me?  How the hell does a whole store just disappear?  There was a faded sign on the building where the Subway sign used to be that said "Steakhouse".  It was had been there forever.  I feel like I'm living in the twilight zone today; it's like adding a nice frosting on my already frustrated cake of crap.

Then, as I sit here and think about why this day is complete hell, I get a note from someone on the Ragnar team letting me know that the leg I signed up for was taken over by one of my teammates and I'll need to register for another leg.  A HARDER leg.  I'm now seriously considering dropping out of the race.  I'm pissed.  This is how the whole day is going.  I tried to go running last night and couldn't even make it 5 miles- that's how out of shape I am lately.

Sorry to be such a negative Nancy- I know this day will get better.  It's just how life goes sometimes- crap piles up.  The good news is that it's FRIDAY!  Hallelujah!

  1. Thats weird about the Subway... its like you've been asleep for 10 years but you don't know it. Ha. Good luck with work sweetie, things will get better, as they always do. xoxoxox

  2. Nice frosting on my already frustrated cake of crap...

My, you have a way with words! I'm going to remember that combination. That's been how my whole week has been.

I hope we can get it together and have a better weekend. No fair that someone took your leg!

  3. Hahaha. I liked the frosting line, too.

Sorry things are being weird for you--and hard. I'd be throughly annoyed by the race maneuver, too!

Do what works for you as far as the race goes, fierce girl. If sticking to it is what you need to do, do that. But if it is just unnecessary stress and obligation--dump it. Weigh out which will cause the least regret and do that.

I hope your weekend is wowza!

    Deb :D
