Back to me.

I started Weight Watchers again today.  I am so happy.  I feel like myself for the first time in months.  No more restrictions!

I celebrated all day- this morning I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast.  No more smoothies!  Not that I don't love the smoothies, they just get old after 9 days.  You can only have them so many ways...

I also went running today too- thank you ocean breeze for making it so enjoyable.  5 miles.  It felt awesome.  And now I'm sitting here with NR.  She just made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies- and guess what?  I'm having one (or two).  Because I ran my heart out and budgeted for it. :)

I went to Walmart today and ended up buying another $100 in groceries.  For those of you who laugh at that, remember that I'm single, and eat out too. ;)  But there are just so many things I haven't had in so long!  Like Eggo Waffles (which I'll have for breakfast tomorrow).  And popcorn.  And light whipped cream to put on my strawberries.  Aaaaahhhhh....I love me some weight watchers.

So...here's the last thing I want to leave you with today- my friends.  I was thinking about it this morning, and we only have 4 months left of this year.  I went back in my journal to look at my New's Years resolutions for this year so I could see if I actually am on track- of course I couldn't find them anywhere. :)  But I went ahead and made a few new goals to help me finish out the year strong.  I joined a 300 mile club thing on Facebook that my friend sent to me- it's some kind of vow that I will run 300 miles before the end of the year.  That's roughly 2.5 miles a day til the end of the year. :) SO EASY! I ran 5 today!!!

I just keep thinking- I want to finish this year out strong.  I can do this!  I don't want to have to get on some big kick at the beginning of next year like I do every year- I want to already be 'tight and right' as my roommate always says.  Think about it, we're going to be seeing family and friends that we may not have seen for awhile (I will anyway).  I want to look good for those moments!!!  This is the time to buckle down and get serious.  It's the end of the year- we're on the last leg.  We can do this!!!!

You know the other thing I remembered that a few of us used to do that I haven't seen lately?  Weekly goals. Like- I will NOT have any soda this week, and I will get all my water in.  Remember these?  We'd break it down and say- this week I will get all my vegetables.  This week I will not have any sugar.  This week I will work out everyday.  It was so much easier when we were biting off little chunks instead of trying to do it all, all of the time.  This week.  From Wed to Wed- I'm drinking my water.  ALL of my water. Everyday.  It's yummy and I like it.

Okay- last thing...I'm torn.  Should I start posting my weight losses on the side bar like I used to?  It helps me when I see my successes.  However, I don't like seeing it when I haven't lost anything.  Give me your thoughts...

What's your goal this week??? LET'S DO THIS!!!

  1. I just set a new goal last night... nothing fried. I really need this because while I haven't had sugar or white flour in over two months, I have enjoyed way too many Lays potato chips. It feels so good to take another step in the right direction. Especially when it is something so doable.

I'm so glad you are happy. I'm bound and determined to be in some holiday photos this coming season and like what I see.

There is nothing better than feeling in control!

  3. Yay! I am happy for you! Weight watchers lets you be diverse and not feel like a failure with a treat or 2 :)And I know you can make 300 miles easy! The weight loss bar is a good idea but you have to understand that you won't be uphill the entire journey, there are gonna be some flat spots and occasionally you may get a pothole in the road. It the journey to your final destination that matters :) Blessed be Diz I know you can do this!
