This gum is killing me.

Well, I spend all my free time scouring recipes on the internet now.  I actually enjoy looking at all the food options out there and trying to figure out if it will work with my Fat Flush plan or not.  I went shopping today and spent almost $100 buying food.  I'm not even sure what I bought, but I promise you it's all healthy!  Healthy eating is so expensive, gag.  I should've taken a picture of my cart though- it was full of items that were so healthy and so delicious, you might get me confused with Christine Avanti.  And even though I'm missing sugar like crazy, I know it's going to be okay.  I kind of like the pain...or at least that's what I tell myself.  :)

Today is kind of a hard, and kind of an easy day.  Hard because I feel like crap is leaving my system and my system is kind of wanting more.  I miss sugar pretty badly today- and nothing seems to suffice.  I'm chewing an old piece of gum right now that has lost all of it's flavor, but is the closest thing to a 'treat' I can have while detoxing.  I wonder if I'm going to look younger once the sugar is out of my system. :)  Haha, I know that sounds crazy, but I was thinking about it while at the store today in the check out lane.  I was watching the lady in front of me, and I just kept wondering to myself- if sugar is hard on the body...does your body show that hardness over time?  I would assume so.  But now I'm off on a tangent; sorry.

Today is easy because I have delicious meals planned.  I'm so excited to try a peach smoothie tomorrow for breakfast that I can't wait.  Will it taste like a peach milkshake?  That's what I keep imagining, but I doubt it.  But it should still be yummy.  Tonight for dinner I'm having turkey burgers (minus the bread- obvi) with tomato slices and some grilled veggies on the side.  HEAVEN!  Have I ever told you that my roommate makes the best turkey patties/burgers alive?  I am super excited about dinner.

I am also going to spinning tonight, and working out with the crossfit trainer before the spin class.  While I can't necessarily see a difference yet, I feel the difference.  I'm working out hard, I'm eating healthy, and my system is starting to finally clean out a little.  I can't wait til Monday to weigh in and see what the difference is..

How are you guys doing?

  3. When I gave up sugar I was dependent on gum for a while. Orbit is the only kind that doesn't hurt my jaw and I LOVE the sweet mint flavor.

You are doing so well! Just keep on keepin' on and it will only get easier. I promise.

Your dinner sounds dreamy... would your roommate be willing to tell us how she makes those turkey burgers so good?
