I know it's a little late in the day for my post- and the thing is I only have 15 minutes to write this post. The good news is- I'm in a zen place lately, so I don't really have much to say so I think I can get it done in the allotted time.
I am doing it guys. I am on point and it feels so good. I went running today- about 5.5 miles. I have been taking my time every morning to plan my day. I have been thinking about the things I'm grateful for. I have been eating super healthy and super clean in attempts to stay on track til weigh in on Saturday. I have so many great things to look forward to and I'm really excited. For example, some of the things I'm looking forward to:
1) Busting into the 130's. I am so freaking happy about this- it's been a long time coming. I can't believe it half the time when I think about it...I will be in the 130's!!!! No one in the 130's is 'questionable'. Do you know anyone in the 130's that you look at and question their healthiness? NO! Of course not! I feel like it's a personal milestone. As you all know, before I moved from Utah I was in the 130's and I relished it. It was a great weight for me- and I personally feel like it's kind of a triumph too because not too many people get to be in this group. I mean, it's kind of an elite group, and i'm so excited to join it FINALLY!!!!! Like I said, this is a huge accomplishment to me. I am going to make my 5 pound goal happen, and I feel soooo good about it. I have been in the 140's for so long and while I'm ok with the 140's, there's just something about the 130's that's so...appealing. I will feel normal and back to my "old self". Only I won't be my "old self"...I am a newer, stronger woman. I am more confident and happy with myself- the most I've ever been in my life. Seriously- I don't think I've ever been this comfortable in my skin and loving me.
2) This weekend! While I'm sad that it's my roommate's last weekend before she moves to LA (super sad about this actually and have been trying to work through it for the last month), we're doing our traditional toasted buttered bagel on Saturday morning for the last time, and it is truly one of my favorite things to do with her. I know it's small and sounds lame, but seriously, we get a bagel, sit on the patio of the bagel place, and just chat and enjoy the sun, and it's become something that I really love and cherish to do with her. I will miss this little tradition so much. And this week I'm planning for it so I won't even have to feel guilty when we do it! We're also going dancing Saturday night and I've already decided that if my weigh in Saturday morning is under 141, I'm buying a new outfit. :) We love to go dancing and again, this is something I love to do with her so much, so it's a little bittersweet to see her go. But I've finally come to terms with her moving and I'm very excited to open up to the new possibilities that are coming my way.
3) This summer! It will be my first summer in California where I'm not consumed with my weight and "being fat". I have decided that as long as I stay in the 130's by June, I will buy myself a beach cruiser so I can ride around all summer long. Everyone in Huntington Beach has a beach cruiser; it's just what people do here. For the last 2 years I've ridden my roommate's bikes, but this year will be the year I get my own bike. I'll have to take pictures once I pick one out. I'm so excited to go look! I am making myself wait until after I move though so I can budget for it. I feel like it's Christmas though, cause I'm so excited about it!
4) My new apartment- although I don't know where I'm going to be living quite yet. I have a feeling it's going to be super cute and super fun though. I don't know who I'm going to be living with, but that's ok, I still have a few weeks to figure all of that out. But I know where I want to live and I'm excited because my new apartment is going to be very close to the beach, if I get what I want.
Well...I just looked down and I'm 2 minutes over my time limit. Time to cut the post short so I can get ready for bed and stay on track and be in bed by midnight. Last night I didn't make it because I went to an Angel's game with Dan and didn't get home until 12:30. So of course, I have to make up for it tonight!!! But more on Dan later...
