Food for thought

I hope I can make this entry quick, I have to get to work soon. When I first got up this morning I was pissed about the scale- it was showing I was up a little after yesterday's episode. But thanks to followers on Twitter, I got encouraged to stay the course! And I will! Thank you to everyone who offered me words of encouragement and support- it really does help to have a good support group. I also watched a video on A Healthy Kitchen's blog which was a huge eye opener for me. Here is a link if you're interested: http://ahealthykitchen.com/ Watch the video's she has on there about healthy eating and the doctor's advice. Of course, as she mentions, we don't all HAVE to turn vegetarian; life is about choices. I don't know if I could ever become a vegetarian, but the videos did give me a lot to think about in terms of my diet and what I consume regularly. I do eat a lot of meat, cheese, and dairy products. However, over the last couple of months, I've been reading and thinking a lot about vegetable/fruit and whole grain diets. These types of diet make the most sense to me. I do want to be healthy and I do want to infuse my body with good food that helps it work at it's best and optimal performance. I care about my body- no matter what I've put it through up until now. I have to be reminded of this sometimes (especially when I'm downing In-N-Out), but I do care.

I'm inspired right now. More to come on this topic later. Healthy and happy eating to you today!

  1. It's so good to be honest when we are discouraged...but then we get right back up and fight like hell. It's the only way we can win this thing. I'm right there with you.

We all fall from time to time and all we can do is pick ourselves up and keep moving. That's the spirit I hear in your writing today so BRAVO to YOU!!

I hope you had a great workout -- a healthy dinner -- and sweet dreams :)

By the way, I joined your Friends Follow list, but I didn't know how to make my picture small enough so that more than my eyes show -- LOL -- I'm not trying to be mysterious or uber cool ;) I'm just a goofball who couldn't figure out how to reduce the picture on Google! LOL
